PSV (Primary Source Verification)

PSV (Primary Source Verification)

Verify your graduation certificate (for IMG)

It has been tragic experience to be caught up in the middle of the transition. first everything goes online and now we must have verification from another international platform to secure location. Hopefully all International Medical Graduates will get updated from this recent news and stay alert.

So, I recently try to apply for MPM no.(number needed before you get your housemanship) through the merits website online and they have queries on my application.

I was requested to get the PSV (Primary Source Verification) to make sure I can apply for e-HO.

From the news shown below, they started this verification on the 1st June 2020
and all candidates are to verified their documents from either

>>ECFMG platform or the Data Flow platform. (refer to the official website link at the end of this thread to go to their website for specific instructions)
>>Once you manage to get the verification,
>>upload the documents to the merits mmc website for processing

KENYATAAN AKHBAR

Sekian, terima kasih.

https://www.ecfmgepic.org/instructions-malaysia.html

Instructions below are from the website link shown above.

ECFMG partners with the Malaysian Medical Council to primary-source verify medical credentials of graduates of medical schools located outside Malaysia who are applying to the Council for registration to practice medicine. If you are applying for registration in Malaysia, having your credentials verified through EPIC meets the Council’s requirements for document verification of your medical qualifications.

To have your credentials verified through EPIC in support of an application to the Council,

  • Step 1 – Confirm your eligibility with the Malaysian Medical Council.
  • Step 2 – Establish an EPIC Account.
  • Step 3 – Confirm your identity with EPIC.
  • Step 4 – Upload each credential required by the Council and select the Malaysian Medical Council to receive an EPIC Report once the credential is verified.
  • Step 5 – As each credential is verified, ensure that an EPIC Report has been sent to the Council.
  • Step 6 – Submit your application to the Council.

Credentials Required by the Council

The following credentials are required by the Council in support of your application for registration:

  • Basic Medical Degree (Final Medical Diploma in EPIC)
  • Final Medical School Transcript
  • Evidence of Postgraduate Training or Specialist Qualification, if applying to be listed on the National Specialist Register.

Please note: If you graduated from medical school in the United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand and completed internship training there, you may be eligible for exemption from the two-year internship requirement in Malaysia. If you are requesting exemption, you must submit evidence of the training.

Additional documents required for graduates of medical schools in India

  • Student Bonafide Certificate (Alternate Graduation Document in EPIC)
  • Rotating Internship Certificate (Pregraduate Internship Credential in EPIC)

Additional documents required for graduates of medical schools in Indonesia

  • Sijil Kedokteran (S.KED) (Student Medical School Transcript in EPIC)
  • Ijazah Kedokteran (Ijazah Profesi Dokter) (Final Medical Diploma in EPIC)

Please note that although EPIC will primary-source verify Medical Registrations/Licenses to Practice Medicine, the Council requires that a Certificate of Current Professional Status/Good Standing be sent directly to the Council. Verification through EPIC of a Medical Registration/License to Practice Medicine will not substitute for this purpose.

Any document you upload to EPIC that is not in English must be accompanied by an English translation that meets ECFMG’s translation standards. Please see

If you have questions regarding the Council’s documentation requirements for registration, please visit the Council’s website at

If you have any questions regarding EPIC and the EPIC verification process, please contact EPIC at
